Do’s & Don’ts : Printer

Do’s

  • Use power save mode when not in use

  • Always place the printer on an even surface

  • Replace maintenance kit when printer prompts

  • Use the printer within duty cycle specified

  • Use recommended media

  • Always shuffle the media before putting into the tray

  • Always use the printer in proper site conditions (Environment & Power)

  • Always select the proper paper type from front panel

  • Always use original hp toner

  • Always use recommended media weight recommender for the respected tray

  • Keep the printer drivers and firmware up to date Always keep the printer clear.

Dont’s

  • It is recommended that the number of printed pages per month be within the stated range for optimum performance, based on factors including supplies replacement intervals and device life over an extended warranty period.

  • Duty cycle is defined as the maximum number of pages per month of imaged outputs, pl. do not exceed the capacity .

  • Do not keep the printer on an uneven surface

  • Do not keep the printer in excessive harsh conditions (excessive heat, cold or dust)

  • Do not use non recommended media , curled , wrinkled or stapled media in the printer

  • Never use the printer on UPS

  • Never clean the printer with alcohol or water

  • Never used refill toner

  • Never use the printer above the recommended duty cycle

  • Never keep the printer on an uneven surface

  • Do not keep staple pins, office pins or any small metal object on top of the printer.

  • Do not keep more files on the extended tray of the printer.

  • Prevent keeping of water, tea or coffee on the top of the printer.

  • Do not get your HP printers serviced by unauthorised agencies, Visit to the nearest HP Service Centre.
